Insisted on a redesign of the intersection of Indian Neck Avenue with Maple Street
 

Protecting Public Safety

Increased the number of firefighters and encouraged Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training to provide services that save lives and generate revenue for the town.

Funded new fire equipment.

Purchased a new police boat to protect boaters, as well as shoreline businesses, homes and public beaches

Developed unanimous support on the RTM and on the Board of Finance for acquiring the Tabor property by eminent domain, thus protecting the Town and families should hazardous materials surface.

Worked with the state to expedite the realignment of Exit 56 and eliminate the unsafe intersection of East Main Street/School Ground Road/Leetes Island Road.

Insisted on a redesign of the intersection of Indian Neck Avenue with Maple Street at the renovated MIF site and new railroad station along with new and upgraded sidewalks to improve traffic flow and safeguard pedestrians.

Acted to protect pedestrians by building or improving sidewalks in several Branford neighborhoods.

Encouraged the creation of the Youth Court program for local, first-time juvenile offenders involved in minor vandalism, fighting, etc.
